Sunnies are more than just eye protectors, they are key fashion pieces as well. With the right style, it can take your look from simple to fab. While there are many styles out there, there are designs that work best with your facial shape.

Classic Round Sunglasses

Long seen on The Beatles, Classic Round Sunglasses are favored by many ladies. After all, this style is ideal for women with oval, heart and square-shaped faces. It works on the philosophy that opposites work best (round sunnies for angular facial shapes, and vice-versa.)
In addition, you can shop online for sunglasses and accessories at Ebay.com. Sunglasses on sale at eBay! Get up to 70% OFF on Ray-Ban, Michael Kors and more! FREE Shipping included with all orders! Order now on and on lastest eyewear styles with eBay redemption code uk 2015! Ends April 27!

Oversized Round Sunglasses

A timeless style, oversized round sunglasses have been associated with Jackie O’s fashion flair. Her penchant for these sunnies comes as no surprise though, as they look great on oval, oblong and square-shaped faces. Apart from that, they offer great eye-bag concealment, especially if you don’t have time to put on some make-up.

Aviators

In the olden days, aviators were pilot staples. But now, they have become more of fashion essentials. While aviators complement most facial shapes, they are best for those with oblong-shaped faces. That’s because they can add fullness to the high forehead and narrow chin associated with oblong faces.

Cat’s Eye Sunglasses

A cat’s eye sunglass is a style that invokes retro glam. Because of its wide-set frame, it is best worn by ladies with square-shaped faces. The reason is this style creates the illusion of a narrower forehead. Apart from that, it can place more attention on finer facial features.

Square Sunglasses

Because of its square shape, traditional wayfarers are recommended for ladies with round and oval facial shapes. This is due to the tall lenses and wide shape that help create angles. At the same time, it brings the face ‘up.’

Rectangular Sunglasses

Rectangular sunglasses help create the non-existent angles in ladies with round and oval facial shapes. While most styles are very traditional, you are sure to find one that is more up your fashion alley.

Geometric Sunglasses

Geometric sunglasses are amazing for round faces, as they help create angles. For best results, go for geometric sunnies with easygoing, hexagonal styles.

THE BEST SKIRT FOR YOUR BODY TYPE

Hi everyone,
I’m caught in a love affair…with skirts.  Midi skirts, maxi skirts, mini skirts – I want them all! Not only are they a summer staple, but they’re so versatile as well.  You can dress them up with a blouse and heels or dress them down with a white tee and flat sandals.  The possibilities are endless!
Today I wanted to share my guide on finding the most flattering skirt for your body type.     This is by no means a strict rulebook – after all, you should wear whatever you feel most beautiful in. But some girls shy away from skirts because they think they’re intimidating or only reserved for stick thin models.  Not true! Just follow this guide and get ready to get your twirl on.
First, let’s take a look at the 4 most common body types:
bNnsDn8n9TB8u1Mhy8jMYt39.png:Amazon:photo
Banana: Your body is more or less the same width from your chest to your hips, with very little curve
Apple: Your chest is the widest part of your body and you have narrower hips
Pear: Your hips are the curviest part of your body
Hourglass: Your waist is the smallest part of your body and your chest and hips curve outwards
ocZ1hi3e58ewJWqlcVT0k9xI.jpeg:Amazon:photo
Banana shaped: Most skirts look great with this body type.  To give yourself an illusion of curves, find a structured mini that hits right above your hips and curves out slightly. One of this season’s hottest skirts – the envelope (or origami) skirt – looks fabulous on this body type!
Apple shaped: To balance up your curvier upper half, find a skirt that cinches at the waist and flounces outwards.  Keep your top sleek and play with fun patterns and shapes on the bottom.
Pear shaped: Fitted at the waist and swingy through the hips makes the perfect skirt for pear-shaped ladies.   Draw eyes towards your waist, not your hips, by choosing a high-waisted, A-line style skirt and make sure it hits right around your knees – it will elongate your frame.
Hourglass shaped: Show off those curves, hourglass ladies! Select a form hugging pencil skirt that hits right above the knees and tuck in your top – instant chic! A high-waisted A-line skirt is also flattering for this body type.

7 LESSONS TRAVELING TEACHES YOU

Over the last few years I’ve begun traveling extensively. This is in large part due to work, but also because I love exploring our world’s cultures and natural wonders. Traveling doesn’t exclusively mean visiting far off lands, it can be as simple as getting a few states away. No matter how far you go, I believe traveling changes your thinking, behaviors and expectations for the better. As Mark Twain once said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.”

Twain was so right – travel opens our eyes, allows us to adapt to change, and most importantly, teaches us to view ourselves and others as global citizens – rising above political and geographical ties to see all humankind as one. I’ve reflected on my own experiences and pulled together seven lessons traveling teaches you that I believe are invaluable.

7 lessons traveling teaches you

1. You are the change you need. - Traveling to countries where you aren’t familiar with the customs and language can lead you to one of two behaviors–you either adapt to your surrounding or you expect others to change for you. The latter isn’t the route to go. When you visit another place, you should respect their way of life, trying to abide by their laws and adopting as much language as possible. Expecting them to change for you is just plain silly. When you’re forced to quickly adapt to your surroundings while on the road, you learn how to more effectively do this in other areas of your life. We always hear that you can’t change another person. It’s true. The greatest thing we can do is change our way of thinking and determine how to can appreciate or manage a situation that makes us a little uncomfortable.

2. The importance of being ok in your own skin. - Traveling can bring out the best and worst in people. When with our friends, we quickly learn their nuances; when alone, we explore our own personalities and coping mechanisms. It can be frightening to backpack or travel for business alone to an unfamiliar place. Too much silence, a heightened sense of self-awareness…we can get inside our own heads sometimes. But if you can learn to be comfortable in your own skin and appreciate the alone time–really focus on your surroundings–then you’ll be more confident in life. You’ll understand that being independent and alone can be empowering and open you up to a world of emotions and opportunities.

3. Diversity is the spice of life. - If there is one thing you should take away from travel it’s that we are all different. Traditions, beliefs, beauty ideals and practices can be drastically different from country to country (even between cities) and it’s magical. Diversity is what makes us individuals, but also ties us together to create a vibrant world. When you embrace cultural and environmental differences, you can look at those in your own community without judgement and more appreciation – even if you seem to have nothing in common with them.

4. Technology can make or break a trip. - There are plenty of places worldwide that have limited internet access. This can be a blessing, as it forces you to absorb your surroundings and interaction with people you encounter instead of relying on likes and chats from people back home. At the same time, the internet can come in handy when sharing your experiences and whereabouts with family. It can help break down language barriers with locals too. There are good and bad points either way, but it really teaches you about moderation, living in the moment and how to use technology in the best, and least intrusive, way. This holds true in our day-to-day lives as well, which is why a digital detox can refresh your body and soul.

5. The best relationships can come from the most unexpected places. - Traveling opens you up to new ideas and allows you to connect with people you otherwise wouldn’t encounter. That means meeting like-minded people, people who make you see life in a new way, and meeting those who inspire you. Whether you find love far away or meet a future best friend, you will enrich each other’s lives. Once separated, you’ll learn to nourish relationships that are important to you and appreciate those temporary friendships that are there for a purpose, if only for a short time.

6. You learn to think on your feet. - It’s nice to think that every trip runs smoothly. The reality is that unexpected mishaps can strike at any moment. You can miss flights, get lost, lose items or fall ill. It’s how we handle these hiccups that matters most. When you’re in an unfamiliar place, and need a plan immediately, you learn the skill of trusting your instinct and acting fast. You’ll stop sweating the small stuff because when something feels off, you’ll know that all you need to do is create a new plan of attack. After changing plans on the fly a couple of times, you’ll feel like a pro and travel with much less stress.

7. A greater thirst for life. - The most wonderful gift traveling has given me is the desire to dream and reach for more. After my first few trips to other countries I was completely awaken by the experience. I wanted to learn more about different cultures, my creativity was heightened, and I was much happier in the end. Once you’ve explored an area outside of your immediate surrounding, your mind takes over and runs wild with an appreciation for the new. That lust you feel for the next adventure can be channeled into your work or passion pursuits, ultimately aiding in your overall success.

Have you traveled much? What do you think you learned about yourself and the world around you?

THE LOOK: EVIL EYE

Fashion is always more fun when there is a meaning behind the symbols adorning the clothing racks. Of course, a lot of people don’t really think of a symbol’s origins in history, but the symbol itself. The evil eye trend is taking off lately (especially in jewelry), and I have to admit, the way designers have turned an ancient curse into a must-have product, is pretty amazing. These pieces look cool, but what they suggest is even more intriguing…

Evil Eye fashion

Evil Eye Maxi Dress, Silver & Gold Evil Eye Ring, Gold Metallic Tattoos, Evil Eye Choker, Lashed Out Bracelet, Evil Eye Fringe Studs, Ruffle Hem Mini Dress

The evil eye has popped up in several ancient cultures around the world. A threatening look can be seen as giving someone the evil eye curse, something you need constant protection from. Talismans, crosses, and Hamsas (the hand symbol found alongside the eye in many jewelry trends) are all means of protection.

And shockingly, giving praise has also been seen as another way to give the evil eye (often accidentally): This symbolized greed and envy, making that person a target for the curse. This notion is still prevalent in some regions today, but usually to a lesser extent.

Superstition or not, the evil eyes are everywhere, and you can find them in everything from a dazzling pair of earrings to a detailed graphic tee. Whether you’re warding off evil or just sending out good vibes with your symbol, you’re wearing making a statement and wearing a bit of history.

SPRING BEAUTY TREND: DUSTY PASTELS

The term ‘dusty pastel’ has long been used when referring to paint swatches and runway fashion and for the last few seasons you might’ve seen it floating around with spring hair trends too – those subdued lavenders, silvery grays, and powder pink dye jobs on a few daring, pastel loving ladies. In 2015, the trend has become more of an umbrella term than ever before. I like to think of it as a mature take on the pastel obsession that inevitably comes back around every year – less surprising than your Easter color palette, more complex and unique.

Spring Trend Dusty Pastels

Into the sample colors above? Rock the dusty pastel trend in eyes, lips, cheeks and nails to punch up your neutrals or conversely, take bright shades down a notch.

Eyes. Unlike my cosmic candy eye look, you don’t need to combine several different colors for the dusty pastel effect. Simply blend a single purple, pink, blue or green so that it is more dramatic along the lash line but fades out by time you get to the brow bone. You can achieve this by switching from a flat brush to a fluffy eye shadow brush as you blend outward. If the shadow is a little much for you, try simply applying it lightly under your lower lash line instead. Then, apply mascara as usual for a natural eye that has a little dusty color pop.

Lips. Going ‘dusty’ with the lips basically means ignoring most of the standard spring beauty trends, like an orange hued pout or pop of bright pink. Instead, you’ll go lighter than normal with the color, using shades like Bobbi Brown Sandy Nudes for a natural glow or NYX lipstick in Castle for a lilac look.

Cheeks. In the spring, you can’t help but crave a gorgeous pink blush to go along with floral skirts and flowing dresses. But actually, one of the best ways to go dusty is with bronzer. This way, you can sport either the pastel eye or lip looks above without looking too candy colored. Sweep on a brightening bronzer and don’t forget how to get a nice contour going.

Nails. Since dusty pastels seem to be a bit deeper, yet more subdued than their bright counterparts, they act a lot like a neutral when worn on your tips. Experiment with shades to see how a beautiful shade like ella + mila Sugar Fairy (a light taupe with a hint of pink) or essie lilacism paired with a matte top coat complements your skin tone, then go lighter or deeper from there. The dusty shades will look feminine without coming off as juvenile.

QUICK TIP: DIY SHEET MASK

Hydrated skin is a common topic on my site. That’s because, nourished skin is healthy skin. While enhancing your skin’s radiance requires daily moisturizing, boosting your skin with the occasional mask treatment will amplify your overall flawlessness. And who doesn’t love that!?

DIY Face Sheet Mask

You can purchase a face mask for any skin need you want to treat or DIY a turmeric mask. But if you don’t have any of these items in your stash, then grab this common household item, and DIY yourself a sheet mask!

Take Klennex (without any added moisturizers in them) and separate each tissue in half. Then pour a skin conditioner like Cremorlab Mineral Treatment Essence or SK-II Facial Treatment Essence all over until the Kleenex is soaked. If using a cotton pad instead of tissue, lightly stretch and pull the cotton pads until they are thinned out. Then, compress them in your hands, so that the cotton pads are evenly soaked.

Now for the fun part! Place the Essence soaked tissues all over your face–applying them on your forehead, cheeks, chin, nose, pretty much your entire face. Now lay back and relax for 5 to 10 minutes while the saturated tissues work their magic on your skin. Once they dry, peel them off, wipe any excess product into your skin and you’re done! You’ll notice an instant glow to your skin and be ready to finish your skincare routine.

If you are busy, you can buy the face mask on ebay.com . Get Ebay FREE shipping code april 2015 on all daily deals for saving

SPRING FASHION TRENDS TO GET BEHIND NOW

Ah, trends. I’m a big believer in doing what makes you happy, even if it’s not trendy or cool. But if a trend pops up that seems worth a try, I always give it a go! You never know what you’ll fall in love with, especially with fashion. This spring I’ve been seeing a few looks that could take your outfit up a notch, so naturally I’m sharing them with you:

Muted Metallics

Metallics aren’t just for the holidays, guys. Prisms have been a fun accessory trend to try this season, and I’m loving how they’re mixed with other metallic elements like gold and silver as statement pieces and accents. If you don’t consider yourself a big risk taker in regards to fashion, consider this a no fail first step. Muted metallics aren’t super bold, but they accent an otherwise (potentially) boring outfit.

Platform Sandals

This throwback comes around every now and then (did anyone else have platform flip-flops in the early 2000s?!) and this spring it’s being paired with candy-colored sandals, spring wedges and even your basic sneaker. Stay tuned for my skirt and shoe guide later this week to see my favorite ways to rock a platform shoe.

Marsala + Pastels

After the Pantone color of the year is announced, it’s always interesting to see how fashion pros choose to incorporate it into their wardrobe. Since it’s spring and pastels are always in this time of year, marsala and pastels are a must-try combo. Marsala looks great with a dusty pastel pink like the floppy hat above, or try minty green or powder blue instead.

Floral Applique

Yes, floral is another ‘always in’ trend. But the runways at fashion week showed flowers gone 3-d with bold appliques on dresses, sweaters and more. It sounds a bit granny, but try it with a tousled hairstyle and a sleek accessory for balance, and this is actually very chic.

5 BIZARRE SKIN CARE INGREDIENTS

Many, if not all of us, have tried using a product with questionable ingredients to improve our skin at one point or another. There are surprising DIY face masks that might have you second guessing an application, but what makes people squirm more are the bizarre ingredients that make up some of the most effective skin care products on the market. These five skin treatments have had their moment in the spotlight even though they may shock you.

5 Bizarre Skin Care Ingredients to put on your face

Snail slime

Believe it or not, the use of snails in beauty goes all the way back to ancient Greece. Hippocrates (you know, the father of Western medicine, of the Hippocratic oath that all doctors have to take) prescribed using crushed snails for various skin treatments. Thankfully we don’t need to mush those cute little mollusks to get the benefits we’re looking for anymore. Nowadays scientists and beauty product manufacturers have found that we only need the gooey trail left behind when they move. Snail slime is used in many Korean beauty products, like Mizon All-in-One Snail Repair Cream, and we know how great their skin care routines are. Benefits are said to include skin hydration, wrinkle fighting abilities, and reduction of acne scarring and blemishes.

Venoms

Bee venom has been compared to a natural botox because of its ability to stimulate production of collagen which can smooth, lift and tighten skin. British tabloids claim that Kate Middleton used the product before her wedding and Gwyneth Paltrow has said that she had “been given bee venom therapy for an old injury” and after the treatment the injury disappeared. If bee venom isn’t enough of a shock, snake venom is also used for skin care. Although it isn’t actually used in many products anymore, companies have produced a synthetic peptide that mimics the properties of venom from the Temple Viper, a poisonous snake from southeast Asia. This synthetic venom works to prevent the formation and/or deepening of wrinkles. Again, Mizon offers a product with bizarre ingredient, but you can find these venoms in Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Fast-Acting Serum or Manuka Doctor Apinourish Rejuvenating Face Mask.

Placenta

You know Placenta, that temporary organ that comes out as of a mother along with her baby during birth? Well, sheep and human placenta is not only helpful for having a baby inside you, it’s also used for facial mask treatments that aim to firm, lift and hydrate skin. That’s because placenta is rich in vitamins, proteins and enzymes that promote healthy skin growth. The treatments, typically in the form of sheet face masks, are said to treat acne and promote collagen production. Crazy, right? You can find Placenta face masks readily available in some foreign countries, while the US still seems hesitant to grab hold of the trend. Many famous people with youthful skin have been known to use the treatments.

Foreskin

Umm… Yeah. One rejuvenating facial cream made popular by Oprah is actually made of skin cells derived from tiny pieces of human foreskin cultivated in labs. Skinmedica, the company behind the cream, claims that no actual human tissue, only hormones grown from the tissue are included in their final product. A similar process is also used to help burn victims create new skin where they might not be able to otherwise. Skinmedica says that in over 20 years of producing the cream they have only used tissue from one willfully donated foreskin!

Nightingale guano

Who would have thought putting bird droppings on your face would be a good idea? Japanese and Korean cultures have actually been using guano from the bush warbler Nightingale since around the year 800! The Japanese found that the when dried and turned into cream the guano helps the skin hold in moisture. These properties were especially beneficial for Geishas and Kabuki actors who wore traditional white makeup made with zinc and lead, which often caused major skin disease. The guano completely removed the makeup from the performers and also had the added benefit of conditioning and soothing their skin. Today farms in Japan specifically monitor the Nightingales’ diets and habitats so bacteria isn’t an issue, but you’ll have to go to a spa if you want to try a “Geisha facial”.

Would you try any of these, or have you? I’m interested to hear if you’re totally grossed out or willing to give these a go.
